The start of the school year was always a special time. We would get new school supplies and make sure our bags were packed. A few days into the year we would decide what all our binders and notebooks should read. We always wanted Mom to write our names or subjects on the notebooks because her handwriting is PERFECT. She would always say we should just do it, but we would respond, "We'll mess it up." We were so proud of those perfectly written notebooks.
