Mowing the lawn

We had a big yard at our house and while it was fun to have so much room to run, play, jump on the trampoline, play baseball, play in the sandbox, etc., it still meant we had to mow the lawn to keep it looking nice. We had the lawn mapped out so we would split it into 4 equal sections and take turns mowing the lawn so one person didn't have to do it all. Some of the pieces were a little bit bigger than others, but we all had to rotate. The front yard was probably the biggest and had all the trees you had to go around before you could finish mowing. I think that was everyone's least favorite section. I remember my favorite piece was right behind the garage. It was really shaded back there because of the willow trees and the grass would grow really green and tall. It always looked so good when you finished mowing it.  It was tough pushing that lawn mower and sometimes it would be really hot outside, but the lawn always looked so good when we all were finished. In the summertime when we had finished all of the outside work like mowing the lawn or weeding the garden, we would usually all get our swimsuits on and go swim in the river.
